Labor of love
The Petrelluzzi family built Hotel L’Esplanade in the early 1990s, the crowning achievement of a lifetime developing commercial properties. Shortly after, Mr. Petrelluzzi’s son Marc and his wife Kristin took over its management and built Le Petit Hotel in the mid-90s, just down Boulevard de Grand Case. Casual, simple, and privileged with an amazing beach-front location, it offered a dramatically different take on an island getaway. Regardless of which hotel you choose for your stay, we’re delighted you’re visiting our beloved St. Martin and hope you have an unforgettable experience at our family-owned and operated boutique hotels by the sea. Welcome to our history, romance, and business rolled into one.

Bound by friendship
From the dynamic husband and wife duo running Le Petit Hotel to the gregarious bartenders, inspiring yoga instructors, and dedicated spa specialist at Hotel L’Esplanade, everyone at our hotels is an indispensable thread in the fabric that weaves our ongoing story. Authentically warm and dedicated to their craft, our stellar staff members have been with us for decades and are well loved as members of our extended family and by our friends around the world.

DIVINE, UNPRETENIOUS
“L'Esplanade is a very special place we called home for 2 weeks. I wouldn't call it a 'luxury hotel' — as that sells it somewhat short. The world is full of luxury hotels. This is a one-of-a-kind, magical guest house, staffed with people who make you feel very honoured to stay there. Located a stones throw from a beautiful beach, amazing restaurants and serves as the perfect base to explore Saint Martin. ”

PERFECT VACATION
“I should just say "ditto" to every other great review posted about Le Petit. All of the wonderful things are true. We stayed for week in May. We had a third floor room. When they say it is on the water, it is right there on the water. We slept every night to the sounds of the ocean and took breakfast every morning on our balcony.”

PARADISE. FOUND.
“This was our first trip to Saint Martin, and wow. To say we were pleased with our stay at L’Esplanade would be an understatement. We were absolutely blown away by the quaintness and beauty of this property, and of the island as a whole.”
